Challenges
In an attempt to diversify its energy supply, the UAE has been constructing a nuclear power plant in cooperation with the Korea Electric Power Corp. (Bloomberg, World Nuclear Association). The first of four reactors has an operating license and is undergoing testing (Power Engineering, ME Construction News). Testing alone would not count.
