The Panama Papers are a trove of documents from a Panamanian law firm detailing secretive financial dealings that could involve tax evasion or money laundering (The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) 1, ICIJ 2). Prime Minister Sharif has come under public pressure and scrutiny as a result of the revelation of those documents (NY Times, The Diplomat, Reuters, Financial Times). Vacating office for any reason will count. In the event that Sharif reportedly disappears or flees the capital, Good Judgment will observe a three-week waiting period, at the end of which the question will close retroactively to the date of his disappearance or exodus. If Sharif returns in the interim, the question will remain open. Recommended Questions: Will Bashar al-Assad cease to be President of Syria before 1 March 2017?
