Tourism levels in Dubai have recovered from the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and has implemented new policies to attract for visitors to the emirate (BBC, Skift). The question will be suspended on 31 December 2023 and the outcome determined using data from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (Dubai Tourism). In 2021, 7.28 million total international overnight guests visited Dubai, while 16.73 million visited in 2019 (Dubai Tourism - December 2021 Report, Dubai Tourism - 2019 Annual Report, Dubai Tourism - Research and Insights).
