Will a US presidential candidate other than the Democratic Party and Republican Party nominees win any electoral votes in the 2024 presidential election?
Closed Nov 05, 2024 08:01AM UTC
The 2024 US presidential election cycle brings the potential for major third-party and/or independent candidates (NBC News, USA Today). The winner of the most votes in a jurisdiction will be considered to have won the electoral votes for that jurisdiction, and whether there are any "faithless electors" as part of the Electoral College in the 2024 presidential election is immaterial (Ballotpedia).
