High levels of natural gas in storage in the US has kept its price relatively low in historical terms (Oil Price, EIA - Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report). The question will be suspended on 29 September 2024 and the outcome determined using the spot price per million British thermal units (BTUs) per the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) as reported by the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) database, expected in October 2024 (FRED, EIA - British thermal units). On 21 May 2024, the spot price for natural gas was $2.52.
