What will be the price for copper per metric ton in September 2024, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF)?
Closing Oct 01, 2024 07:01AM UTC
Rising copper demand for technologies like electric vehicles and data centers for artificial intelligence are pushing the metal's price higher (US News & World Report, Mining.com). The question will be suspended on 30 September 2024 and the outcome determined using IMF price data (USD/Tonne) as reported by the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) database (FRED). In September 2023, the price of copper per metric ton was $8,276.71381.
