What will be the European Central Bank's (ECB's) most recently announced "Deposit facility" interest rate as of 7 March 2025?
Closing Mar 06, 2025 08:01AM UTC
As eurozone inflation eases, markets and observers are speculating how far and how fast the ECB will cut interest rates (AP, Yahoo [Bloomberg], ECB - Key Interest Rates). As of the launch of this question, the Governing Council of the ECB had four remaining monetary policy meetings scheduled for 2024 (18 July, 12 September, 17 October, and 12 December), as well as meetings scheduled for 30 January 2025 and 6 March 2025 (ECB - Calendar). The date the change will take effect is immaterial (ECB interest rate changes generally do not take effect for approximately a week from an announced change).
