For which month will the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) next report 7.0 million or fewer job openings in the US?
Closing Apr 01, 2025 07:01AM UTC
The number of job openings in the US has come down from post-COVID highs, but they remain elevated despite high interest rates (AP). The question will be suspended on 31 March 2025 if still open and the outcome determined using BLS data as first reported by the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) database (FRED, BLS - JOLTS Release Schedule). As of the launch of this question, the total number of job openings reported for March 2024 was 8,355 (in thousands), or 8.355 million. Subsequent revisions will be immaterial.
