Closed Nov 05, 2024 08:01AM UTC
On 13 August 2024, the Missouri Secretary of State certified the "Right to Reproductive Freedom Amendment" for the 2024 general election, which would, among other things, remove the state's ban on abortion (Missouri Secretary of State, Ballotpedia, ABC News). As of the 2024 general election, Missouri state constitutional amendments require approval by a simple majority (Missouri Constitution, see Article XII, Section 2(b)).
