Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general have become issues in the 2024 US presidential election campaign (CNBC, The Hill). The question will be suspended on 30 December 2024 and the outcome determined using Coinbase price data as reported by the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) database (FRED). On 24 August 2024, the price of a bitcoin was $64,157.87.
