Will Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attend the 2024 Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) heads of government summit in Pakistan?

Pakistan has formally invited, among others, Modi to attend the 2024 SCO heads of government summit, but it is unknown whether the Indian leader will attend the meeting hosted by its historical rival (Al Jazeera, Asian News International, SCO). Modi must be physically present in Pakistan for an SCO summit event to count. The question would close "No" upon either the official postponement of the summit for the 2024 calendar year or official relocation of the summit outside of Pakistan. The summit is scheduled to be held on 15-16 October 2024 (Dawn).
