Despite ongoing tensions and fighting on various fronts in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, oil prices have remained relatively stable in 2024 (MSN [Seeking Alpha], Yahoo Finance). The question will be suspended on 30 March 2025 and the outcome determined using the spot price per barrel per the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) as reported by the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) database, expected in April 2025 (FRED). On 18 November 2024, the spot price for WTI was $69.46.
