As interest rate cut expectations have waned, mortgage rates have begun to rise again in the wake of Trump's reelection (CNBC, USA Today). The question will be suspended 26 March 2025 and the outcome determined using Freddie Mac 30-year fixed rate mortgage average data as reported by the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) database (FRED).
