The Federal Reserve's balance sheet has shed about $2 trillion from June 2022 to December 2024, though the central bank slowed the pace of roll off in assets starting in June 2024 (US News & World Report, CME Group, Investopedia, Federal Reserve - Implementation Note 1 May 2024). The question will be suspended on 30 December 2025 and the outcome determined using data provided by the Federal Reserve (Federal Reserve (data table), FRED). As of 25 December 2024, the Total Assets of the Federal Reserve were $6,885,963 million, or $6.885963 trillion.
