Turkey's central bank lowered its key policy interest rate in December 2024 as the country continues to fight high inflation (MSN [Reuters], ABC News, CBRT - Press Release on Interest Rates 26 December 2024). The question will be suspended on 10 December 2025 and the outcome determined using data as reported by the CBRT (CBRT - 1 Week Repo, CBRT - Press Releases). As of the launch of this question, the CBRT's last Monetary Policy Committee Decision for 2025 is scheduled to be released on 11 December 2025 (CBRT - Monetary Policy Committee Calendar). The date the announced interest rate will take effect is immaterial.
