As the US continues to produce natural gas at record levels, Donald Trump is expected to push for greater production in his second term (CBC.ca, MSN [Reuters], EIA - Short-Term Economic Outlook December 2024). The question will be suspended on 31 December 2025 and outcome determined using the "U.S. Dry Natural Gas Production" data (which is displayed in million cubic feet per month) as reported by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) between and including the months of April 2025 and December 2025 (EIA, EIA Glossary - Dry Natural Gas). Between April 2023 and December 2023, the US produced 28,590,221 mcf, or 28.590221 tcf. An xlsx file with historical data and a chart may be downloaded by clicking here: Download.
