Closed Apr 6, 2025 05:47PM (8 days ago)
As of 16 January 2025, NHL player Alexander Ovechkin was on pace to set a new career goal record in the 2024-25 season, a record currently held by Wayne "The Great One" Gretzky (SB Nation, NHL Records - Most Goals Career, Sporting News). The 2024-25 NHL regular season is scheduled to conclude on 17 April 2025 (NHL). The question will close early if Ovechkin, for whatever reason, will not be able to play another game in the regular season.
