Will Wisconsin voters approve a state constitutional amendment requiring photo identification to vote?
Closed Apr 1, 2025 07:01AM (2 days ago)
While Wisconsin law currently requires voters to have valid photo identification to vote, the state legislature has referred a ballot measure, scheduled to be voted upon on 1 April 2025, that would enshrine that requirement in the constitution (Ballotpedia, AP). As of the launch of this question, Wisconsin state constitutional amendments require a simple majority for approval (Wisconsin Constitution - Article XII). The question will close as of the holding of a vote on a state constitutional amendment requiring photo identification to vote or an official announcement that the currently proposed amendment will not appear on the ballot.
