Named for the winningest pitcher in professional baseball history, the Cy Young Award is given to the best pitcher in each league as voted upon by the Baseball Writers' Association of America prior to the beginning of the postseason (MLB - Cy Young Award, Baseball Hall of Fame, Baseball Writers' Association of America). The question will be suspended once the regular season has concluded, scheduled for 28 September 2025 (MLB - 2025 Schedule).
